Recurrent Pneumothorax
I experience numerous lung collapses that cause shortness of breath, 2-5cm collapses with a pleurectomy, intense chest and back pain, and numbness of the arms. I experience these once or twice a week and visited many hospitals with no real result other than being treated with chest tubes. My question is if anyone has any ideas or has experienced similar situation.

@anonymous6789 Welcome to Mayo Connect - I think we need a little more information to try to point you toward a group that can support you.
Repeated lung collapses are very rare unless caused by some underlying condition - what else is going on with your lungs, and your health in general?
When you go to the Emergency Department, their job is to stabilize your condition (which it sounds like they are doing.) Then you are generally instructed to "see your provider within 3 days [1 week, 1 month] to follow up with additional tests and a treatment plan." You say you have visited many hospitals, but are you seeing a pulmonologist or pulmonology group to try to remedy this situation?
do a CT
find someone to help interpret it (NDI ?)
