Leg and Foot cramps.

Posted by danny67 @danny5, Feb 5 1:10am

wondering if there is anybody with this problem. i get muscle cramps in both legs and feet. but they are more frequent and worse in my right leg. from just below the knee. and into the foot. always at night, when i'm in bed. bad enough that the right foot twitches also.
i hope this is in the correct discussion post.

Rubbing magnesium gel on the cramp area stops it immediately. I know that first hand.

Also put a bar of lavender soap in knee high sticking and put it near the area that cramps or has restless legs, while u sleep. Sometimes it takes that plus mag gel.

It's the brand name of the tonic syrup I buy from Amazon.

kdalda75, I looked the Classic Tonic Syrup on Amazon, it seems to be an alcohol mix type thing. I am so confused about this. What do you use it for? I hate alcohol, just not in my taste buds.

@shelleyw - Follow the thread of the subject re foot and leg cramps. The Classic Tonic Syrup is non-alcoholic if you would read the ingredient label content is water, sugar, quinine flavored concentrate, lemongras, orange peel and citric acid. My suggestion to you is if you have leg and foot cramps contact your PCP for recommendations. It is probably the quinine that aids in the relief for muscle cramps. This product is non-alcoholic , however the tonic can be added to alcohol to mix alcoholic beverages that are pretty common to everyone. IE Gin and Tonic.
I appreciate your aversion to alcohol but I believe you are a tad confused about the posting.

irr4et Where do you purchase this Magnesium Gel? I to have terrible leg cramps at bedtime. Especially if I have not Hydrated enough during the day. That is when I really notice getting cramps. Your body will pull the moisture from your muscles. A friend that was a stewardess for a large airline told me to DRINK about a HALF CUP of Pickle Juice. I tried it the other night & it worked immediately. Most of us have pickles in the frig. Right? I hurt so bad I drank it from my Bread & Butter Pickle jar. It's only me in the house so I don't have to share my germs. Maybe, those high flying gals know something we don't. All you leg/foot crampers give it a whirl it may work wonders for you too. That is if you don't mind going to your frig. in the middle of the night. Probably easier to put some on your night stand. Remember, stay HYDRATED.. My best, boomarang

Take vitamin B12. It works for me when I have leg and foot cramps. The cramps occur when I’m deficient of this particular vitamin. I like the chewable vitamin B12.
