@dixer, do you mean nocardiosis? Here's some information about this infectious disease affecting either the lungs (pulmonary nocardiosis) or the whole body (systemic nocardiosis) from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention http://www.cdc.gov/nocardiosis/

my husband has an appointment in Sept. to see a pulmonary dr. . He has not been diagnosed.

Welcome to this discussion @murlu. Does your doctor suspect that your husband has a lung fungus or infection? Can you tell us a bit more?

no after I was clear of MAC i was recently diagnosed with Ochroconis (Dactylaria) gallopava then just recently with Nocardia farcinica . I Was placed on noxafil for the fungus but had to stop due to severe reaction. They are now looking into a med for the nocardia

We have not seen the dr. as of yet. But they plan on a lung pucture to get a sample
