Coronary artery inflammation
COVID 8/22, 9 coronary stents placed 1/24, blood thinners and atorvastatin 80mg added.
Recath 7/24, 3 more blockages d/t inflammation. Lipid panel low normals and 1 flagged low.
Palpitations, fatigue and ithostatic intolerance still persist. I also had a positive d dimer 2 weeks after my heart attack in Jan 24. No other inflammatory markers were positive. How do we treat the inflammation, I have a blockage 95-99% stenosed? Desperately seeking treatment options.

Heart issues are one of the Covid problems. I had Covid mid May 2024… in ICU 8 days and given Paxlovid for 5 days. Before I left hospital I had a AV Block 3rd Degree that required a Pacemaker. On July 30, 2024 my heart started fluttering. I’ve now been diagnosed with Atrial Flutters and Afib. Doctor has me on Eliquis and Troprol Xl. I return to my cardiologist the first week of September. If medication doesn’t work then I will need an ablation to correct (hopefully) the problem.
I am so stressed, can’t sleep at night , and still dealing with other after covid symptoms.
I had 10 doctors while in hospital and after the AV Block I was told by everyone of them that heart issues are #1 problems with after covid.
I’m taking my issues one day at a time… but I’m also asking for prayers from everyone at church, my family and friends.
Let me know how you are doing. Hugs to you.
I’m so sorry 🥲
I was with doctors in Sebring for my issues. I just don’t feel I am well taken care of by docs here. Except a couple that truly listen to my concerns.
I’m going to Winter Haven now.
Prayers for you my friend 🙏🥰
Oh I’m in Sebring too! Dr Dodd in Winter Haven is excellent!
Highlands - wow! Your story sounds so familiar. I had mild case of Covid in Feb. of 2023 treated with Paxlovid. A week after, I became short of breath with heart irregularities. By May, I was in complete heart block necessitating a pacemaker. At the time, none of my doctors would commit to saying it was caused by long covid - not enough data. I also developed atrial fib/flutter and am now on Eliquis. I was on Amiodarone for a few months and that seemed to resolve the A-fib. In Dec., the pacemaker lead was irritating the wall of my heart and developed a large pericardial effusion which was drained along with lead replacement. I had a couple of episodes of congestive heart failure and have to maintain a strict low sodium diet. Along the way, my previously well controlled asthma reared its ugly head and that is what I’m dealing with now.
My heart problems seem to have settled down. My sister-in-law recently had an ablation for heart flutter and is doing well. I hope this offers a bit of reassurance for you.
I’m disappointed that with the resurgence of Covid, there is not more being done to highlight the long term damage it can cause.
Hang in there and I hope you will get stronger and conquer your issues. Keep positive thoughts. Blessings to you.

It’s amazing how many people are/have experienced what we have.
Just this morning I had a terrible cry… not knowing if I have 2 days, 2 months or 2 years. I have my husband age 80 to care for and my dog, Tucker will not do well without me.
We have no children and our only family is out West. Oh well, I’ll get through all this with my faith. Thank you for sharing your story with me. ❤️
Highlands…..I was wondering if you might be Sebring also.
I’m so sorry for your health status…..we just have to try and be positive…. I’m bound and determined to not let it get me down. Some days it all flooding down me….a good cry then back up again. 😊.
