How MAC patients have tolerated taking the 3 antibiotics

I was diagnosed with Bronchiectasis and MAC in 2017. CT scan showed improvement in 2020. Now the CT scans and breathing tests indicate the disease is worse and the Docs want me to start the 3.
I am terrified of taking 3 antibiotics a day. I have IBS-D already and 3 antibiotics a day will make it worse. I fear living my life in the bathroom.
How have other people tolerated the antibiotics?
I have started exercising pretty heavy again ( slowed down during COVID) to move the mucous and bacteria out.
I take a lot of natural supplements including Enteragam(prescription drug) and probiotics daily. It keeps my IBS under control.

Any comments on how you tolerated the 3 would be helpful!

Do you have a particular brand you buy! I’m overwhelmed by how many are out there and most are full of fillers

I'm supposed to be doing them every month, but I haven't... At first very difficult to do, couldn't, but lately I think I can but haven't--really must! Tomorrow (she said)!

Hello, I know it is hard to make that decision but there is only the progression of the disease that happens unabated without treatment. I made the decision to take the antibiotics because I lead a very healthy lifestyle and I kept getting recurrent pnuemonia. On previous posts others shared similar experiences. Treatment delayed only allows the MAC greater opportunity to do damage. I feel the treatment is hard but the MAC long term is harder. Good luck whatever you decide.

Also my second time with MAC & Valley Fever. I've been taking MAC big 3 since December 2023 with no side effects except 20 lb weight loss. My dr. Stopped Fluconazole (valley fever medicine) after 11 months suspecting it was the cause of extreme body rashes. I feel physically wonderful.
