Did you try Ambien or another sleep RX med ?
I take 10 mg Ambien but I take 5 mg before bed and 5 mg at first wake up around midnight.
Usually works, been on it a long while now .
Used to use here and there but for last couple years, nightly .
Had to up it from just 5 mg to 10 .
I have 7 major digestive disorders 1 years. Very chronic and horrendous.
Chronic fatigue from it and can hardly eat many foods at all .
Ruined my life pretty much .
Sometimes even when I think I’ve slept well . 2 hrs after I wake , I’m exhausted.

Isn't there something your doctor can do or give you to help?? This is awful... I personally do not like Ambien.....yes, it puts you to sleep....but doesn't keep you asleep. Ask your doctor for Lorazepam.....it works much better. Or Flurazepam if it's available....best sleep med I ever took.

I am having terrible insomnia. Fall asleep then wake up 3 hrs later. Feel exhausted and shaky from this.

Ask your doctor for Lunesta 2 or 3mg, or Lorazepam 1mg.

For a 1 year and half I have had insomnia. Recently fall asleep, but wake up 2 hours later and can not fall back to sleep. Tried different anti depressants, natural remedies and finally 12.5 mg of seraqual. I do not want to take seraqual, is there anything out there that will get my sleep normal again?

Try a generic benadryl sleep aid....sold at Walmart. It's sold in the Sleep aid section and look for the active ingredient, Diphenhydramine. Or Unisom, active ingredient, doxylamine succinate. Both work well. The generic Benadryl sleep aid....take 2 25mg pills.

Primary care physicians frown upon sleep medications, but sleep specialists do not. No one and nothing OTC helped me until I saw a Neurology Sleep Specialist. She prescribed Lunesta and I am sleeping again.

My sleep doctor recommended a six week course through the Cleveland clinic called "Go to Sleep". It costs $40 and has helped me dramatically to start falling asleep within fifteen minutes most nights now. Only takes a few minutes of your day each day. Well worth the money and time to get you back sleeping within minutes of getting into bed each night. Check it out.

I've had severe insomnia since I was a teenager, now 69. Tried various meds, sleep hygiene stuff, still takes 3+ hours to fall asleep, then poor restless sleep after that. Anxiety only gets worse. I need sleep! Tried new med Dayvigo with only small help. Out of desperation I tried Dayvigo 10mg and Zopiclone 7.5mg together. Success! Omg! I start yawning about 50 minutes after taking them, fall asleep quickly, sleep well for 3-4 hours, get up to BR, back to bed, then a few more hours of lighter sleep but way less tossing and turning. Told my GP I tried this and he agreed with it. Said the plan will be to slowly reduce the Zopiclone dose though. I swear I haven't slept this well since I was a child. I don't wake up "refreshed" but I can feel that I got a decent amount of sleep. Also my mood is much better.
I'm retired, so if I have a bit of Zopiclone hanging around in the daytime, I don't care! I need sleep! The Zopiclone also blocks out the vivid dreams the Dayvigo causes, so that also helps. This could be a combination that works for others, worth a try. Lack of sleep kills!

I also use Lorazepam & it helps with anxiety & sleep.
You NEED your sleep, so try whatever your doctor recommends
until you find something that does! I have also used Tylenol /sleep,
and ZZQuil, both of which helped me so ask your doctor.
It is amazing how many people, especially women, have sleep issues.
It seems we are programed to worry about EVERYTHING!

I have used this with some good results. As with all such aids, the less frequently you use them, the better they work. You MUST tough out some long nights in between or you'll get habituated to the medication, no matter which one we're talking about, and they'll become less effective. You can alternate between various types, but not different brands of the same substance and expect it not to become less effective. Try melatonin, 5 mg or less (!!), wait a night, try Zopiclone or some other prescribed sleep aid, wait a night, then try the stress formula here:
https://www.jamiesonvitamins.com/products/melatonin-stress-and-sleep-support
I have no relationship of any kind with the company or with the development and marketing of this product. I'm just a very occasional user, and relatively happy with the results. It's not foolproof, nor is melatonin, and even Zopiclone hasn't always worked for me. I do think using them all sparingly has meant that, when I do resort to them, they work at least at the C+ level, sometimes a lot better. A C+ is way better than a D or an F.
