Hi Jenny,

I had a radio frequency ablation 13 years ago for premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) in bigeminy pattern that worked gang busters (recovered well and was symptom free that entire time) until I got COVID for the first time in 2022 and they returned. I had a second RF ablation this February that was not successful at eliminating the PVC's, and seems to have provoked a new arrythmia (paroxismal supraventricular tachycardia). So, sometimes ablation can work, and sometimes not, but in my experience it was a minimally invasive option to try and I'm glad I did. I do have quite strong chest, left anterior neck and left shoulder pain during an SVT episode if it lasts more than 5-10 mins, but like you, can feel mild chest pain that comes and goes randomly that's unrelated to SVT and unexplainable. Not sure if it helps, but I do know my cholesterol is high so I am going to pressure my EP at my next visit to do a little more investigation into any potential coronoary artery blockages. If you were assigned female sex at birth, I would recommend advocating for yourself as much as possible as women's cardiac health issues frequently get ignored or misdiagnosed

I was reading your post and wondering if your PVC' had to be controlled by RF ablation and for whatever reason your GP didn't try medications first? What were your symptoms like with the PVCs? Also, do PVCs get caused by blockage or just electrical issues. I myself had a short journey on SVTs. Luckily medication stopped those, however I have Neck pain and pulsate tinnitus (carotid artery left side) which I feel is somehow involved with my Cardiac issues, though I'd be happy to be wrong.
~ Btw - Oh trust me, a skinny brown man's issues can get ignored as well. Even by his own people, so it's not sure women.
