Anyone taken Evenity (romosozumab) for Osteoporosis?
Has anyone taken Evenity? I understand it’s only been on the market for a little over a year. I’m hoping it will help with my severe osteoporosis. Any information is helpful.

@lbtw Thanks for the encouragement! I pray that you have smooth sailing through the rest of your shots along with measurable improvement!
Hi @kristie2 did your endo give a reason for the advantages of 1-2 year prolia then reclast? If you dont mind, could you share your bmd % improvements with 12mo evenity? Thank you very much!
The endo felt that the Prolia would continue to build bone where the reclast would just maintain it . Hopefully my insurance will approve another DEXA . It’s scheduled in about 3 weeks .
My endo was always against Prolia but she said a new study came out and this was the best way to go . That the longest I would be on is 1-2 years before switching. My t score of my spine was -4.6 when I started Evenity .
That's good to know, thank you for sharing this info! If that will maximize bmd improvements then that's great! Curious, will you be monitored by bone markers for the timing of initiating prolia?
Wishing you great improvements on next dexa scan!
@kristie2. Did I miss something? I am confused. Where does the Evenity come into your story? Did you start with Prolia?
I have always had my bone markers done . Prior to starting Evenity my CTX was 933, P1NP was 77. Then 4 months later CTX 316 , P1NP 67 . Then in May CTX 138, P1NP 59 .
I will actually have my bone marker test the morning before I get my Prolia injection . My endo has been ver agreeable with having these done .
No I have never had Prolia . I started with Evenity and now will have Prolia for 1-2 years and then move on to reclast .
Prolia is not a bone builder. Tymlos, Forteo and Evenity are. Please research Prolia before beginning it. It can maintain bone gains but will not build new bone.
Prolia has approximate increase in spine bone mineral density . 6-8% during the first two years .
