Vertigo

Hope all is well with everyone. I just finished testing with my primary and I do have vertigo. She said therapy may help relieve the dizziness. I do have pills to take to help some of the dizziness. Just wondering if this is common with people who have autoimmune diseases? Has any one done physical therapy for vertigo? Did you get good results?

I also have Vertigo I haven't done the therapy but my husband did a got good results.

I have vertigo but was told that there is no therapy for it. Has it changed suddenly?

I have vertigo often and ocular migraines..which physical therapy exercises help you the most? Thank you

I get ocular migraines but don't know anything about them. What causes them?

Two weeks ago I started to get vertigo after going on the amusement rides with my granddaughter. I have been taking Bonnie and doing the PT exercises from YouTube. I thought it was slightly better but now this morning it isn’t you are not alone.

Hi,
I have ANS for 12 years and along with it I have constant vertigo. It can vary in severity for no apparent reason. I have been unable to move from the bed and forced to leap off a roof to save the internals, in my worst moments. Vertigo is my constant companion one which for the most part I have it's measure. I learnt to drive only using all 3 mirrors of cars and rotating the eyes not the head. I try to be focused on what I do all the time which helps keep it at bay. Lose the concentration and over I go, always to my left. I discovered if I could see a straight level line somewhere I could remain reasonably steady, with no line to focus on I was in trouble. I have been retraining the brain to stand on each foot alternatively with the eyes closed in an effort to maintain balance without a straight line. For the most part it has worked, but again it comes back to my concentration, practice makes perfect and automatic reaction, well almost. Now days the vertigo is just itching to get me at any lapse in concentration. It has become second nature to me to be thinking about what I'm doing and not relying on the automatic physical features of the body. I no longer have the urge to vomit with the vertigo, the brain has figured that out and compensates as best it can. Tying shoe laces is the worst movement for me now as the brain hasn't figured out what slowly means, or I'm just too impatient! Instead I try to raise the foot onto a chair or something so I'm not straightening up from the bent over stance to standing in one move. I find now that my reaction to the falls is happening the instant I start to go over, the left arm goes out automatically for support as does the left leg. It appears to happen when I'm stepping off the right foot mostly, particualrly as I lead with the left foot.
