Seizures and vomiting

Has anyone experienced vomiting during a seizure? I had the worst seizure in my life a few weeks, it started with vomiting. I'm told it continued during the seizure, first with whatever food was in my stomach, then stomach acid. I don't remember any of it. All I know is my throat was sore for days because of it.

I recently had a bout of vomiting, off and on for about an hour. The vomiting started with all of whatever food was in my stomach, continued with stomach acid and ended with my throat burnt from stomach acid. I remember the entire episode which I don't during my typical seizure.

Has anyone experienced a seizure that consisted of vomiting only? I had no other symptoms of being sick. Was the vomiting a seizure?

I am sorry to hear that. Has your neurologist since your fall made any changes in medications and dosages of Lamictal and Trileptal?

My neurologist added Keppra to my list of meds, my small seizures seemed to be more frequent, no bad seizures for almost a month. I told my neurologist I wanted to stay on it even though it made me very tired, then 2 bad seizures a day apart, not sure if I should continue with it.

I am sorry to hear you have hit your head when you fell and had a concussion. How long ago did this happen?
Reading about concussions on the internet, the symptoms that can appear after such an incident are: headache, mental confusion, lack of coordination, memory loss, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, ringing in the ears, drowsiness and excessive fatigue. There is no specific cure for concussion. Resting and restricting activities allow the brain to recover. Headache medications and anti-nausea medications may be used to combat symptoms.
Have you talked with your doctor since you had this fall and your seizures started to appear again? If yes, could you share with us what he or she has said? Thank you!

My neurologist said the seizures returning is directly connected to the head trauma caused my the fall. My seizures originally came after a head trauma in a car accident 25 years ago. It took years to find the right mix of meds to bring them under control.

My doctor added generic Keppra to my seizure meds about 4 weeks ago, I thought it was helping, even though I was experiences more frequent small seizures, no major seizures requiring hospitalization. I told my doctor I wanted to stay on it in spite of it making me very tired and increased small seizures. Then I had 2 bad seizures a day apart, today I woke up with severe leg pain which can be a side effect of Keppra.

I've called my doctor, left a message about alternatives.

Thank you for the additional information you have shared with us.
Finding the right medication to control our seizures is something that can take a while. But do not give up!!! It also took me some good time to find the best way to control my seizures. It was worthwhile this fight.
I hope your doctor will return your messages soon!!!
