Posted by dr4bama @dr4bama, Jul 14, 2022

I am experiencing profuse sweating off during the day and nightly. Is this common post Covid?

I got the first round of COVID in 2020. I honestly didn't think I was going to make it. I haven't been the same since. Now I feel it's slowly killing me. I wake up daily w zero energy. Zero motivation. I have no desire to go anywhere. When I push my self to go shopping I sweat profusely and it exhausts me. When I get home I have to change my under clothes because they're soaked! It's horrible. Is there any help out there to regain energy and stop sweating!!??!!?? Help

I never get a fever and I’ve had Covid three times with no fever. This last time though I had profuse sweating day and night. I tested negative today and I’m still sweating. Does that mean I’m still contagious?

cathyhadley4, I hope this encourages you. I had COVID in 2022 & 2023. Exhaustion was debilitating.....Sweating as well. I was diagnosed with LONG COVID July of 2023, before having it a 2nd time. Is there a Long COVID clinic near you where you can get a diagnosis?

My routine consisted of doing a little something......resting.....doing a little something....resting...walk to the mailbox (if I could!)....resting....load the dishwasher...resting...I took several naps a day.

I am finally doing better with the fatigue...it's not gone....but better. The sweating is also better. Wear cool clothing at night when you sleep. Take tepid showers or baths. Stay out of the heat as much as possible.

I believe COVID can ramp up everything in some of us....some folks sail right through it with no after affects....others don't.

Praying for you and I empathize. It takes time to get better. I found the one person I had to be most patient with was myself. I am still on a lot of vitamins for Long COVID.

Utmost prayers for you to get better my friend.

Thankyou so much for your encouragement!! It's nice to know that someone actually understands and knows what I'm going thru. It's just hard for people to understand unless they're going thru it.....no COVID clinics local.the closest I know of is Florida......I've had vitamin infusions and everything. No change. Prayers for us and thank you🤗

cathyhadley4, The vitamin infusions did not help me other....In fact I reacted to them. Especially the Glutathiane (SP?). Praying much for you. Keep me posted. I care.

P.S. I have not tried red light therapy yet. I'm learning it is good for Long COVID.

I had covid 2020. It did not bother me. I mistakenly got the shots 6 months later. Bad! 2 years later got covid again. Again not bad. Since then sweat profusely at night. I have found drinking water all day long and even at night stops the sweating in 10 minutes of. Also heart palpitations stop after 15 minutes of drinking water. You cannot be over weight and have to be on a bike or elliptical...just saying what keeps me moving forward and a semblance of felling normal.

I was sweating 24/7 and/or felt hot inside for over a year and still do if any old covid symptoms come back to haunt. My inner thermometer is still high after 2.5 years. Weird horrible virus

I'm so sorry about your condition. I'm 10 months in and I'm still sweating day and night. Inner thermometer broken, similar to yours. My skin is hot at times (Shin at 98.9 while thigh is at 97.3). Right leg would be cold and left leg would be hot. My crotch valley would go from 98.3 to 100.4 randomly and sweat while I'm just sitting here reading comments. Awful !

Its 2 years since your posting. I hope you are back to normal. Update please?

It’s been since 2/20 since I contracted covid. My stamina, breathing and severe fatigue is finally getting better but I still feel hot a lot of the time. My thermostat definitely has changed. I still feel like I have dementia (lol but not so funny) can’t focus very well, lost 80% of sense of smell and have to rest more. What did I just say? Oh, I can’t remember! Good thing I’m retired because I wouldn’t be able to work. I try to laugh as much as I can and be grateful for what I have but it’s not my life anymore and I’m not the same person.

I have 2 air conditioners on the lowest temp possible and 2 fans. If I get hot, which is so frequent, It triggers all of my other symptoms in a huge way. I CANNOT go outside in the bright lights or the heat. My apartment is dark and cold... That's the only way I can even remotely function.
