I’m 73 and was in ICU in May 2024 with Covid. Needed a Pacemaker at the end.
I developed Covid Long Haul symptoms… Extreme Fatigue, Loss of taste, loss of appetite, brain fog and dizziness with fast vision blurring.
Went to primary doctor and was told nothing can be done that I must wait for it to end… weeks, months or…
My husband is 80 and trying to care for me but it’s wearing him down.
Does anyone have an experience that they can share with me that might help? Thank you in advance.

Don't give up. Look for Long Covid clinics. I was lucky that is one here in Texas. I want to be positive, I cry every night because is not doctors than can give me answers. Some laugh at me when I tell them that have to be Covid. My symptoms are arrythmia , horrible anxiety, fatigue, intolerance to some foods, etc.

I have trouble with rapid heartbeat, it started in November 2022 after a bout with covid and still it’s going on. I had a referral for a cardiologist who ran some tests and concluded that my heart is beating too fast. I also have sweating and sometimes tremors, it’s almost like heat flashes when you have menopause but stronger. The heart specialist asked me if I was stressed and I am but when I said it started with covid he didn’t make a comment, however he asked me if I would consider a psychiatrist. This wasn’t the help I wanted but I have to start somewhere, I feel very frightened because I’m not getting good medical care and my options are limited, the biggest problem is a big shortage of doctors and I would have to find one that will take me as a patient, I really feel like I’m trapped and no way out.

I have been sweating buckets since I got my covid vaccines, and although I've seen loads of specialist nobody seems to know what could help me. My bed, my clothes are pretty much always drench in sweat. The sweating episodes recur everytime I change position, like from sitting to standing, from lying down on my stomach to turning over on my side...I sweat from all over my body, nothing like the little menopausal hot flashes I had 15 years ago. Has anyone else experienced these night sweats after the covid vaccines or after getting covid ?

I mentioned having a rapid heartbeat since having covid along with sweating and trembling in my hands. I’m very sorry that you are having a hard time with sweating and it really sounds quite bad from what you said, the sad thing is that doctors are not able to help us with our symptoms, I do feel that they know it’s a real thing because there’s just too many people suffering from this so they have to concede that it’s a real problem. I don’t know how much they can do at this point in time, a lot of research is needed for them to help us so in the meantime we rely on each other and see what they know, it’s going to take time to get the answers we desperately need. I’m not willing to try more drugs on the premise that they might help you because this is only going to cause more problems with side effects that we don’t need.
