Shingrix and AFIB
I am 78 years old and about 8 months ago I had heart valve repair and an ablation. The ablation has fixed my afib. I am thinking about getting a second shingles shot, shingrix. Does anyone know if getting the shingrix shot can cause Afib to come back or be initiated?

Leanne, it is an experimental vaccine that was given to millions of people. Then the documenting database for vaccine events was closed down, so physicians cannot even record occurrences like yours. Furthermore, it does not prevent one from catching Covid. As my strait-laced MD said, “Why did my practice filled with vaccinated patients, have a huge population who caught Covid?” Drawn your own conclusions.
mRNA is not found in vaccines. The first mRNA vaccine was used in ebola. Tests were being run on a flu vaccine but then Covid hit. So really Covid is the first wide spread vaccine to use mRNA technology.
The technology behind mRNA has been in development for 30 years
mRNA is not the cause of the Afib its the immune response that causes the Afib. In the US 613 million Covid shots have been given. Worldwide 12.7 Billion shots have been given.

COVID-19 is much more likely to cause heart damage than the vaccine, especially among older people with medical conditions that put them at higher risk for a serious infection.
Some people have concerns that mRNA vaccines cause heart problems. Early in the pandemic, there were rare instances of teenage boys and younger men experiencing heart inflammation, which happened about as frequently as being struck by lightning (about 1 in 10,000 vaccinations).
Most of these people responded well to medicine and rest and felt better quickly.
This small risk is even less now that we have safety recommendations like spacing out vaccines for young men and women. COVID-19 is much more likely to cause heart damage than the vaccine, especially among older people with medical conditions that put them at higher risk for a serious infection.
Sugar and refined carbs are two of the causes of Inflammation.
After I had my ablation at 78 years old I waited 6 months and then had my shingrix shots. Shortly after that I had my one time pneumonia vaccination. No problem whatsoever. All of that was more than 2 years ago.
Do you mean the Moderna vaccine could have caused AFib?
Harvey,
I suggest you read The COVID-19 Vaccines & Beyond: What the Medical Industrial Complex is NOT Telling Us by Sally Saxon, Deborah Viglione MD and James Thorp MD.
Let’s discuss the 1976 swine flu debacle, if you think every modern vaccine is safe and effective.
Vaccine injuries from the COVID vaccine undisputedly include cardiac issues.
You completely misrepresent me and throw a book out at me that is not relevant to my Afib or PACs. I only answered to the idea that there are a lot of mRNA vaccines out there when there are only a couple. Forgot the swine flu which was 48 years ago and was not nRNA. Do you want to used technology from 1976? When was the first ablation performed? 1981. This thread doesn't even need to be here. What I said is true and I'll say it again
"mRNA is not found in vaccines. The first mRNA vaccine was used in ebola. Tests were being run on a flu vaccine but then Covid hit. So really Covid is the first wide spread vaccine to use mRNA technology". This is factually correct that there are only a couple of mRNA vaccines being used today.
None of this has anything to do with my Afib or PACs.
BTW I looked up your book to read reviews about. The only review I found was listed in. "Biblical Medical Ethics Inc". From that website "This website is established to promote medical ethics that are soundly rooted in Biblical truth"
I am tempted to reply to you about several things you wrote. However, I will limit my final note here to a response about your belief that mRNA is not being added to current vaccines.
My internist encourages me to get the updated Shingles vaccine. I placed a call over a year ago to the manufacturer’s consumer line when this suggestion was given to me. They put me on the line with a woman who identified herself as a pharmacist for the company. She said the current batch did not have mRNA, but they would be adding it to this vaccine in the near future.
Nowhere have I posted that the COVID vaccine causes AFIB.
You sound like an angry man. Anger is very bad for heart conditions. Chill.
Interesting response. First comes the claim based on the swine flu vaccine (48 years ago) that "you think every modern vaccine is safe and effective". I never said any such thing about modern vaccines being safe and effective. And then I am told what I should read. I assume this is to enlighten me. I suggest maybe quoting from the book itself and also include the authors perspective rather than just telling me to read it.
Then comes discussion that in the future the shingles vaccine may be using mRNA technology. I do not know why that was included. Maybe proof that I was wrong when I said mRNA is not used is almost all vaccines.
Additionally and I quote "Nowhere have I posted that the COVID vaccine causes AFIB."
I never said that you posted anything about Covid vaccines causing Afib". So my response to that is "HUH?"
Finally I am accused of "being an angry man" and telling me to "chill".
The claims presented about me are both materially false and then get personal telling me what to read (that book), claiming that I am angry man and I need to chill.
I find this most inappropriate. This distracts and distorts my original response re: mRNA technology is not found in most vaccines. That it maybe used in future vaccines is immaterial.
I would appreciate it that you stop making misleading statements about me, calling me angry and telling me to chill.
This is gone beyond the pale.
thanks for hanging in there. It's time Mayo fact-checked this woman.
