Lapse in recent memory
I have had long Covid since October 2022. So last night I was watching a TV series episode that I thought was a new episode. About half way into the episode I started getting feelings of “ remembering that scene”. Long story short it turns out I had watched the episode less than a week ago. I completely forgot watching it, and the first half of the episode, which was about an hour long I had no memory of, the second part, bits and pieces I remember. I am very scared now. It was like I blacked out that whole half hour or so and it was less than a week ago. This is a new symptom on top of my many other symptoms. Anyone else have similar issues?

I want to reply to this answer again I do think it has reduced fatigue and post-exertion malaise. Thinking back I have less crash days where I'm so crashed out I can barely keep my eyes open and everything looks White. I still have to function as a single parent so I'm awake for it. I haven't had what I call crash white out day for about 2 and 1/2 3 weeks and I've been on LDN for about a month or less slowly titrating from 0.5 mg I think I got up to 2.5 mg which I know is fast for a lot of people until I ran out so I'm waiting for my new order. I was taking the capsules with cellulose I decided to go for the liquid to see if the cellulose was causing some of the heavy sweating all day hot flashes and cold flashes
God Bless You All! I had a rough case of Covid last year and my memory was not good for quite a while. In mid sentence, I couldn't even think of the word I was going to say. I just told folks I had "Covid Brain". It has gotten so much better. Hang in there precious folks! Praying for you all!
Had covid nov. 21 hospitalized 15 days. Lately short term memory seems worse and walking up or down bleacher seems like things r moving unsure balance
I have some balance problems from polyneuropathy and damage to an inner ear, not due to the covid and LC from March 2023. If you haven't been, it would be good to be evaluated by a neurologist. He/she can test for neuropathy. Covid can also trigger autoimmune responses and food intolerances. I have celiac disease from catching H1N1 14 years ago, my sister's Meniere's Disease (balance problems associated with inner ear) is kicked off by dairy foods. Consider keeping a food log in case some things now make your symptoms worse. The balance can be helped by PT, retraining the brain to react better to movements. I don't know if the PEM tiredness ever completely goes away, so be sure to rest and destress enough (easier said than done).
I am also taking a supplement Co Q10 recommended by my doctor. It helps with staying focused and gives you a little energy.
Speech therapy helped me sort out my cognitive processing, storing memories, speaking clearly, etc. yes, there are apps like BrainIQ I was suggested to buy from my neurologist. It’s like $100 but it does help me sharpen up my mind s bit
Some memory lapses are not uncommon with Long Covid. There is a certain amount of exhaustion that accompanies LC which probably affects the brain. When we are tired we don't remember as well. I've had some similar memory issues, but not as extreme, but more frequently.
My Cardiologist recommended CoQ10 years ago. It supplies energy to the heart. It may also help focus.
The product I was recommended by my integrated doctor is Mitoquinone.
It also has CoQ10 in it. I got it at Amazon and it is expensive. I have been taking it for 5 days and the first thing I noticed was focus. I can think more clearly and I am much less forgetful. I am waiting to see if it helps with fatigue as my doctor said. Check the reviews. They give you insight on it’s effectiveness.
