Well dont let that get out. It will end up being like the weight loss drug. But seriously, I didnt notice so much of a change from the prednisone but I was only on for 6 months. But from an age factor for man of 72 my breasts have a little less form. I cant really say its growing though. More of a sag.
😂😂I can’t say it’s growing though, more of a sag!! Funny, Tucker.
Is this really a serious topic or is someone pulling one over on us?
Anyway, Assuming you are serious, have you gained any significant weight from your prednisone use? This would certainly change the size of your breasts!

Maybe breast tenderness? I can see that happening. I’m sorry if it seemed like I wasn’t taking this serious, but the way you worded your comment “my breasts started growing and have not stopped” tickled my funny bone😂. I have a weird sense of humor!😂
I’m sorry, you have GCA? I thought we were talking about PMR. I really don’t know much about GCA other than you might start out at a higher dose of prednisone.
Take care.
that is interesting. Learned something new. Although this would appear to be more like a mass in the breast. That would seem to bring a little more alarm than simply increased size. It did say that 2 or the 21 in the study had no masses but the breast was very tender. Interesting.

Yes, I didn't intend to say it was breast GCA - how would any of us know - just to express surprise that breasts can be affected and to support bunnykfl's intention to raise it with her doctor.
Wow—that was a real eye opener! Although it’s more breast masses and tenderness than actual growth of the breast. We haven’t heard of this cause it is extremely rare.
And yes, she should report this to her doctor asap. It does say it goes away with prednisone therapy. Thanks megz for the heads up on this rare occurance.
To Bunnykfl, looking back at some of my comments I feel like a idiot and wanted to apologise for my adolescent behavior. Please speak with your rheumatologist and keep us updated on your progress. Wishing you the best on this health journey.
Take care

Not that much! But I think that GCA causes breast swelling. I will talk to the rheumatologist about it.

I had no idea till googling that Giant Cell Arteritis (GCA) can also affect the breasts. Definitely check it with your rheumatologist, and thanks for bringing to our attention.
