Rituxan for ITP

Posted by sonny001 @sonny001, Jun 20 4:53pm

I have to have infusion of Rituxan for ITP. I’m worried about not getting better. Anyone else have this?

My son had two infusions but the results did not last. The doctor then put him on Promacta and this has been a life changer. I hope the Rituxan works for you and God Bless.

I feel the same I can't believe three years has gone by and all this started when I got the covid vaccine also. it helped so many but totally destroyed me.

My son got itp from the Covid virus itself. It really screwed up his life. He was a strength and conditioning coach for a junior ice hockey team and he had to give that up because of the risk of being cut and/or falling on the ice and having internal bleeding. This was in early 2021 that he was diagnosed. He had asymptomatic Covid in Oct 20/20. It has taken him a long time to recover from that emotionally. He had prednisone, ivig, rituxan and finally projects, which has helped him tremendously. I pray it gets better for you and your life becomes what you want it to be 🌹

The doctor is going to put me back on IVIG also. the rutuxian seems to be not working so well this past week or two!

Neither of those worked for my son and the doctor put him on Promacta. Maybe you could inquire about it with the doctor. I hope you are able to find something that works for you. God Bless🌹

They are just recently realizing that many different nuero problems have been caused by the vaccine. It may have helped a lot of people, but they are finally admitting that it has harmed many of us.. IT IS GOOD TO KNOW WHAT CAUSED IT SO THE DOCTORS CAN FIGURE OUT HOW TO HELP US, IT HAS RUINED 3.5 YEARS OF MY LIFE.. LOOK UP WHAT SOUTH KOREAN DOCTORS ARE FINDING OUT!

@sonny001 How did your infusions go on Tuesday? You probably won’t feel the good effects right away, but hopefully, you’ll feel them very soon!

Have to know what you have in order to treat it. I see my Blood Doc
Tuesday before going back on IVIG, they are learning about it every day and what works and what does not! Sharing this info is good as we all can learn what works where are the politics in that?
Here is another one, CIDP could have also been from agent orange in Vietnam. We are now able get disability from the VA .

Wow, thanks for asking. I felt okay yesterday. Today I felt very fatigued and have had a slight headache. I can’t imagine that anything good is happening yet since I have three more to go. I truly appreciate you asking. I don’t have anyone to talk to about this. I do wish I could get out of my funk and just accept this is what it’s going to be. Again, thank you!!

Oh hell the minute I got sick I know it was a vaccine I was a healthy gym rat before that .I wonder if they could have warned us that those with past hep c viruses shouldn't have taken the vaccine I'm glad it helped so many though

@sonny001 Were you told to take Tylenol before or after the infusion? It helps with the “flu-like” symptoms
