Looking For A Hotel Suggestion: Mayo Rochester, MN
I have an appointment scheduled for mid December at the Rochester Clinic and I’m looking for just the right hotel. My wants and needs:
1) Covered parking and it needs to be readily accessible - I do not travel light😉;
2) I’m a walker so I don’t need to be right across the street and I’m a Minnesota gal so I can handle the weather, but I do want to be able to walk to my appointments;
3) I’m a germaphobe. I travel with my own bedding, hence the need to be able to get things from my car. I know. I’m weird. We own two small inns in Florida so let’s just say I’m very well aware of hospitality standards. No matter where I stay, any time I travel, I always leave the room much cleaner than when I checked in.
It’s a short list, but weirdly specific. I’d like a fridge in the room, but I do not need a kitchenette. I don’t eat breakfast so that’s not a concern either.
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I am glad you had a successful appointment at Mayo. Sorry you were disappointed in hotels. Hopefully your next stay at Berkmann will be more enjoyable.
For those reading comments and wondering about the Berkman, it is a combination of apartments and short term rentals located across street from main entrance of St Mary's on 14th Ave SW.
Did you tour the Berkmann? or is your decision based on web site and recommendations?
Yes I think the travel and my previous healthcare providers before arriving had me really stressed out. Once I experienced Mayo Clinic, the wave of positivity there had me in a better place. I stopped by the Berkman on my way out of town and was pretty impressed. I know there are much cheaper options though. Any negatives I am missing? I liked the St. Mary’s area a lot. I also agree with Myak that the Residence Inn looks appealing. I think I made the mistake of not contacting Concierge Services as I didn’t know about it. It seems like a great service!
