I have gained 25 pounds in the past year, but I have attributed it to an unrelated medicine I now take. My lungs struggle (feels like asthma) in the first 3 minutes of exercise, but feel much better after that. I am assuming that exercise helps me breathe better, at least it seems that way.

@zippy222 That is really good and encouraging to hear how the exercise is going for you. It's unfortunate that so many people with various lung diseases bail out after the first minute of exercising because they get tired or their lungs seem to struggle. I hope your message will encourage more people to stick with their exercises, no matter how trivial those exercises might seem. Many, many studies have shown the benefits, both physical and in terms of mental health that come from regular exercise. Cheers to you.
