Rapid metabolizer of Zoloft

Posted by vfrifr @vfrifr, May 25, 2023

Genetically proven, I am a rapid metabolizer of Zoloft. The half-life of Zoloft in my system appears to be 22 hours. (Not the 24 hours or more shown in literature. I have to keep my heart palpation medication at 50mg a day to stay ahead of the heart palpitations caused by the Zoloft. I have already increased my magnesium, sodium, B Vitamins and potassium intake. Any other suggestions?

My natural healing practitioner is a high school classmate. He spends a lot of time traveling the United States looking for specific plants to create his tinctures. Let me ask him if he is taking on new clients.

My natural healing practitioner is not taking on any new clients at this time. Please review my previous posts for suggestions he made that I am now doing. If you have any questions, please ask. I will be happy to elaborate.

You could use GENOMIND. With a vial of spit they can tell what psyc meds are good for you and which aren't.
They give a comprehensive report.
Including,
Meds for anxiety
Meds for depression
Meds for moods
Meds for pain medicine
And others
It looks expensive, your Dr does the swab or tube In the office and sends it in. Your dr will get the results.

When you get the bill, call GENOMIND. Tell them you cannot afford them, they usually lower the bill to $300.

Good luck!!!

I saw a psychiatrist at the University of Minnesota a month ago, who said most MD’s don’t trust this results in actual practice. No sure if he is correct, but thought I should warn you just in case.

Thank you so much for the info!
Maybe, a doctor might see those results and maybe he'll order the
testing. We can always hope! Have a blessed day

When my doctor and I discussed the results of the genetic testing, she admitted she did not know how to interpret the results and why I was having all the problems. I had to continue to do my own research for the answers. Then, in a respectful manner, inform my doctor as to what was happening.

What is weird is that Magnesium Glycinate has caused my body to jolt since coming off of Zoloft. The magnesium is supposed to cause "relaxation" but it does the opposite and it also keeps me awake. I took it the other night and my body kept jolting before I could get to sleep like it did weeks ago when I was taking it with the Zoloft. Anyone have this? I thought it was just the Zoloft but it turns out to the magnesium too.
