Hi @kolo, and welcome to Connect! You're right, certain foods/beverages can cause a rosacea flare up like hot and spicy dishes and alcohol. But it can also be caused by too much sun expose, your body over heating and stress. Here is some information from Mayo Clinic on the causes of rosacea, treatments and lifestyle remedies to reduce redness: http://mayocl.in/1Ml8V6D.

I'm tagging @marilly, @misskm @angolm, all members who discussed their experience with rosacea. @kolo, what methods do you use (if any) to reduce the flare up? And what has/has not worked for you?

Thank you Alysebrunella,
I replied several days ago, but I am new to this posting thing and probably didn't do something right. I mentioned that I have tried a New Zealand honey product which claims to be good for Rosacea but it didn't help me. Also have tried something called Red-Less 21 unsuccessfully. And a Vitamin A cream which might have helped a little bit. Most helpful has been eliminating soy and alcohol.
I am aware that one can have rosacea lasered off but that is pretty drastic and my checks don't require it.
Since rosacea probably does have an internal cause, I keep on watching to see if I can identify any other triggers. I don't think sunlight or heat are at fault, but I have my eye on stress and continue to watch what I eat.
