Does anyone have neuropathy with a numb and tingling tongue?
I had a thyroidectomy 7 yrs ago. I can't remember when I got a numb and tingling tongue which gives me great stress. I have not found a dr with a cure for me
Anyone wish to help?

That sounds so stressful. Have you tried an ENT or neurologist?
I can’t relate regarding your numb tongue, but for the past 12 yrs I have suffered with my lips being numb.
Both my upper and lower lips are numb, and no one can even begin to find a way to help me.
It’s hard for me to drink anything unless I use a straw, and I can’t feel if I have food on my mouth when eating.
It’s embarrassing when I’m out in public eating.
Thank you for replying. So sorry you have been going through this. I would like to suggest that you try The Healing Code by Alexander Loyd PhD, ND. If I hear of anything else, I will post it on this site. I will keep you in my prayers.
@bellabella
I had a thyroid lobectomy and have Hashimoto’s thyroiditis hypothyroidism and now take levothyroxine 100 mcg.
I have not had a numb tongue but like @harley22 I have had numb lips and a burning sensation around my mouth. Have you read about burning mouth syndrome? https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/burning-mouth-syndrome/symptoms-causes/syc-20350911
I have read that numbness and tingling in mouth/tongue/lips could be tied to low blood sugar. See this link for more possibilities to consider. https://www.healthline.com/health/tingling-tongue
Good luck getting answers!
Also, might check B12 level. That deficiency can be illusive and create a lot of symptoms. I had no idea. I’d check D, thyroid and others too!
I have been diagnosed with CIDP and have had numbness in lips and tongue. I also have lost specific taste sensations. I have just accepted them as My more serious problem is loss of muscle mass in arms and legs
I’ve been reading a lot about B12 deficiency since my diagnosis and it’s amazing how many symptoms I had and doctors didn’t even mention B12. I had to suggest the test. It affects nerves, muscles, organs, etc.
I've been taking B 12 since the beginning of time. That can't be the cause, but thank you for your reply.
I have it in my cheeks ,my lips are always salty I have burning mouth syndrome and its worse on the left than right side of my face.
They gave me minute amounts of nortryptaline.
