Here are my ugly feet with brown burning pigmentation. Saw a follow up specialist. Said it’s linked to Covid and long Covid. It’s an autoimmune response like the thrush on my tongue that won’t get cured. Here’s her report on my feet.

ASSESSMENT/PLAN:
1. Pigmented Purpuric Dermatosis (Schamberg's vs. Majocchis vs. Other)- discussed diagnosis, prognosis, etiology, and treatment with patient. There are no cures to this condition. The lesion may resolve spontaneously or become more numerous. Treatment with the over the counter herbal supplement rutoside has been shown to help. The patient should follow up if the lesions become itchy, painful, or ulcerative. Pt to treat with topical triamcinolone cream as below

The pigment is likely iron residue from subtle bleeding
under the skin. It is usually permanent. Hope the cream
will stabilize progression.

Hey There! I definitely would see a Dermatologist. These could be as simple as lovely age spots called "seborrheic keratosis" or "actinic keratosis" from sun exposure. Have you been out in the sun a lot or tanned a lot over the years? I have gotten more of both of these with age, especially on my arms. I have had skin cancer as well that looked like absolutely nothing, but was basal cell carcinoma, due to my sun exposure. Please get these checked.

If mine (keratosis) itch or become irritated, my Dermatologist removes them with liquid nitrogen (Cryotherapy). It burns like the dickens for a few minutes, but, heals nicely and I've had no scarring from removal.

One of your spots appears to be asymetric and I would definitely get that checked.

Blessings & Prayers.....

SAME…ALL OF THE ABOVE! I had a friend suggest I have a “beauty mark” looked at…had been there for years…SURE ENOUGH!!! CARCINOMA! Went through MOHS 2x to get all affected layers…not a big deal. Now I see my Dermatologist every 6mos and she burns off anything that even looks ugly for me!!!
I Love Her!!! She’s absolutely the best and Thank God for Her Daily!
Sending Luv & Prayers!!!🤞🍀🙏🏻☮️

Are there different varieties of Pupura?

I get these bruises all the time from minimal friction or impact. These are on the back of my hand and they showed up after I opened a box. .

I use to have the brown/red bruised arms mostly but they diminished for some reason. I think it was due to my taking collagen w/peptides. We lose that when we age.

I have been on prednisone for 3 1/2 years and this year began having thin skin and bright and dark red bruises (purpura I think) from the slightest bump on my arms and hands. I just finished a canister of collagen peptides and the bruises are all gone and I am not getting anymore. The collagen I took is Native Path brand. They make several formulas the one I took is labeled Collagen Peptide. I took one scoop per day in a cup of coffee. My facial skin also seems smoother and looks somewhat younger (at age 77). There was no taste that I could tell. They make another formula for bones and I am going to take that now to help my shoulder replacement heal.

That's wonderful. If you have been on Prednisone for that long it could be a good idea to look into a bone density test. I hope it will be good news. There are so many bad effects Prednisone it's worth staying informed. So I now believe in peptides. I'm thankful you replied.

Thank you for your reply. I had a recent dexa scan and it said all was normal but my endocrinologist said she does not believe the test result! I tried one bone med, teriparatide, but I kept fainting. She is relentlessly pushing me to get on another bone med but the side effects are scary.

Has your dematologist biopsied any of these spots? If not, demand he do so.
