Lack of blood flow to the arteries of the brain causing Dizziness
My brain and eyes don't work together. I'm dizzy most of the time. I was told I don't get enough blood flow to the arteries of the brain. No tumors or leisons. MRI was 2 years ago, maybe time for another.

That is certainly an awful condition! Sorry to hear of it. Your quality of life must be seriously impacted.
Some questions:
Are you on any medication?
Does the dizziness get worse when you stand up? Are there any positions that lessen or eliminate the dizziness?
Do you have normal blood pressure?
Of course I'm not a doctor, so I'd recommend that you get some professional opinions on how to fix this.
I've no experience with this, but have been reading about it with regard to peripheral neuropathy. https://www.cpn.or.kr/journal/view.html?doi=10.9758/cpn.2019.17.3.432#:~:text=The%20results%20of%20this%20prospective,circulation%3B%20Cognition%3B%20Phosphodiesterase%20inhibitors.
@slg, I just had a brain MRI with and without contrast yesterday. I am seeing a new neurologist for a long list of symptoms that started in 2017. I, like you, have regular dizziness. It is not just when I initially stand up. It is hard to think and concentrate and my brain/eyes don’t seem to work well together. I also had a hearing test a few days ago and have new hearing loss in my right ear (had it in my left in 2017). I believe I also have issues with blood flow to my brain. I have anti phospholipid cardiologist autoantibodies in my blood which increases risk for clots, stroke, heart attack but no doctor treating that. I started taking a low dose aspirin on my own. I also have small fiber neuropathy which was diagnosed in 2017 with a skin punch biopsy. It can affect heart/blood vessels. Having Covid (I did in 2022) and a bad reaction to the vaccine (2021), it can cause endothelial/microvascular dysfunction. Anxious to see what the MRI shows. My neurologist wants to rule out MS.
@slg, my autocorrect changed cardiolipid to cardiologist. 😉
Hi.. I have dizziness, balance issues that are terrible. I have lung cancer Neuropothy etc. I have hypotension when I stand. Nothing seems to help. I am going to Mayo this summer. I take meds for low blood pressure and gabapention. I hope Mayo tests me extensively to find out what’s wrong or right? Any help please….I am suffering.🙏 TY Jim
You didn’t indicate what your prior MRI results were so it’s hard to give you any help. If you have blocked carotid arteries then further work up and intervention is needed. God unknown and be careful.
I get dizziness as well, mainly when I stand up or move quickly. I also get nauseated from it. It got worse after I had gotten COVID. Ginger has helped, as well as Byronia Alba from Ollois.
Maybe test the carotid arteries. Are you getting regular activity, walking, biking stretching or resistance?
Gabapentine makes me dizzy.
You may need real significant testing but start with the most basic killer of life; poor diet and lack of exersize.
Good luck and pray for grace and mercy.
God bless you and care for you.
Tony
Were you told you have blocked carotid arteries? Are you on meds for this or was surgery recommended?
I have a fully occluded vertebral artery on my right side. I am fortunate that my opposite vertebral artery works fine and through the years made collateral blood flow. I still get dizzy if I look up at something or get up looking up. I know how to compensate now. I was diagnosed in 2011 with a brain angiogram.
