Yasmin Levy - Alegría

Music from Israeli Sephardic singer, Yasmin Levy (just amazing pipes on this gal)

She often performs in Ladino, a medieval language that is mostly Spanish and Hebrew, but with some Arabic, Greek and Turkish thrown in.

I experienced sort of a rebirth last summer while visiting a certain mountain/lake resort in my state (NC). This song really describes it well. I liked it as a kid, but now it holds new meaning.

Great pipes, fantastic guitar from David Rawlings (playing a classic 1935 guitar), original songs, some beautiful, emotional ballads. Just great stuff
