Costachondritis is helped by my PT who practices like an osteopath. Because I use a walker my arms don't swing when I walk. She has me using a noodle when walking in a pool and I help myself by using a motion with my arms in front of me similar to walking swinging one's arms. It has helped a lot.
I know what will help take the edge off. 4% lidocaine patch. Use it on your ribs and side. It will help greatly and take the edge off. I have similar condition. Also ask to try Lyrica. That will help. Ask your doctor. Get the patches anywhere. Has to be the 4% patch.
You need a Cortizone shot directly into your sternum. Best of luck.🙏
I also suffer with Costachondritis. Thankfully I have a PT who acts like a DO with hands on. She finds I am often rotated to the right and after a session I have improvement for a short while. I have applied pain patches to my rib cage and that gives relief. I also have used lidocaine prilocaine cream on chest areas. I use a power chair due to other problems but I walk in the pool. She told me to push the noodle I hold for balance forward with one arm and then the other. It substitutes for not being able to swing my arms when I am walking and has helped a lot with rib pain. Hopefully some of these ideas might be helpful for you.

Life feels meaningless when its just pain!
Sending warm thoughts and blessings your way. Hang in there!
