Oily Skin after transplant: Any suggestions on products that help?

@mandersen, I don’t recall having an issue with oily skin post transplant, but I do know that each one of us is different. The most frequent post transplant complaint is problems with loss of hair.
Do you know if the patient had oily skin before transplant? Is he/she using a different product since transplant? If this is bothering the patient, I would encourage communication with the transplant coordinator because I can’t imagine this being unheard of. Ask them to suggest a product.
Is that something that you can do by a patient portal?

Not to this degree on oily skin. I would say it's normal. Research we did said it could be the Prednisone? He hasn't used any formal face wash ever. He is starting to use some now, but didn't seem to help by the end of the day. Was trying to see if other had success on products. I'm sure our team would be more than happy to help, we will bring up at our next appt in a few weeks.

My first thought is that perhaps using the face wash mid day would help. Also, I know that our meds can affect each of us differently especially as our body adjusts, recovers, and untilo the meds reach an individual routine level.

@mandersen, I'm wondering whether you have been to the appointment yet, or if you have already resolved the oily skin issue. Was it the prednisone as you suspected?

Our appt is next week! He has been using an electric facial cleanser for the time being (mine 😀) and really loves it! It really helps with the accumulation. I actual think it's controlling it from getting excessive, like it was.
