My stomach is round and bloated, and it makes me look pregnant
I have been having problems with my stomach for quite a while now.
My stomach is always round and bloated ,as if i am pregnant.
I have pain most days and have severe cramps and vaginal muscle cramps/contractions during my period. I also bleed a lot.
I eat healthy, take multivitamins and drink water and no sodas or fruit drinks just fruits and veggies. I know most people have flatter stomachs even those who don't eat as well as me.
I have done research and have come to some conclusions that could fit. I think i might have a uterine fibroid or cyst, something that is making my stomach big.
I also have ugly stretchmarks even though i have never been pregnant and am not pregnant, but at times it looks like it.
If anyone has anything similar or knows anything,i would really appreciate the feedback.

Hi Kathie and welcome to Connect. What happens to our bodies when we become ‘women of age’!! Once we’re hit with the magic of menopause our bodies change and our skinny minnie waists seem to take on new dimensions. Dieting and exercises feel like lessons in futility! Sounds like you’ve joined that club too. Have you discussed any of this with your family physician or gynecologist?
Thank you for reply. I have not, but I will
First, follow your doctor.
I'm not posting a cure-all; I have had success using a certain digestive enzyme when my stomach doesn't agree with my taste buds. Run the product past your doctor.
I'll post the supplement's name. Remember the letter "Z" to fill in the blank. Xymo*yme manufactured by (use "X") *ymogen. This product calms my stomach and works to keep constipation at bay. Again -- ask your doctor.

I have slow digestion and a pregnant belly. I've put it off for years as I have chronic pain which renders me in bed. My BMI has increased from 18 BMI to 29 BMI because exercise makes the pain worse and disables me to the point of bed for two or more days.
I am fed up with the sedentary life from chronic pain. Every test under the sun has been performed: CT, Ultrasound, MRI, laparoscopic surgery. I'm normal! Being diagnosed with "Chronic Pain Syndrome" was at first comforting in that my pain wasn't mental. Then ... Only God can create something from nothing. I am actively seeking the cause.
I scheduled an appointment with a Urologist/Gynecologist in the Urology Department. With very gentle physical therapy, I am slowly stretching the pelvic tightness using a medically devised Vaginal Wand. The wand is intravaginal and shaped so one can push and massage the tissue deeper in the pelvis. I'm not saying this will help everyone. See the specialist first.
This is for informational purposes only. Always follow your doctor's instructions. Going straight to the wand without your doctor's instructions -- you may make matters worse.
If you're not satisfied with your physician, seek a second opinion.
I have begun a digestive enzyme which has increased the motility and greatly reduced constipation. My belly isn't as hard, but I'm still fat. Slow walking should slowly help reduce the fat. I am fat and have no problem saying so.
Hi, so I have been having several restless nights due to severe pain in my lower right back region. It seems to wrap around my flank to the front of my belly area. It often wakes me up, and when I do, I feel the need and often vomit. My GP prescribed muscle relaxers, and my chiropractor said it may be musculoskeletal. The X-ray revealed that one of my ribs is misaligned. The muscle relaxers just make me really sleepy. Please advise.
You can get a kind of licorice that's labeled DGL. It has the stuff that raises your blood pressure taken out of it so that doesn't happen.
Could be both. I have had IBS for years. More recently very painful gas and bloating. I ordered a breathalyzer test and came out positive for SIBO methane. Am going to be taking xifaxin and neomycin for that.
In the past just taking bentyl and citracel helped with the IBS. However that doesn't do it anymore. Also I have had both constipation and diarrhea, mostly lately constipation.
Might be gall stones symptoms especially right side pain and need to vomit. My galls stones were discovered with a screening ultrasound to the abdomen area.
Oh gosh, finding someone that had/has chilaiditi is hard! The bloating is horrid, I’m having Hiatal hernia surgery and they will also move my colon. Wish I could talk to someone that had surgery for this to hear their experience.
Hi, @munga - what I would suggest related to the topic of chilaiditi would be to go to the Digestive Health Support Group https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/digestive-gastrointestinal-problems/ and start a discussion there (see right below the search box). That would be great to try to connect people with this condition.
If you'd like to chat with others who have had or will have hiatal hernia surgery, please check out this discussion:
