Pelvic pain
I have pelvic pain for many years and the last 2 years became so sever that I wake up early morning from pain, the pain above the pelvic bone lower abdominal sometimes standing and walking helps but some days the pain last a few days. 8 years ago urologist used cystoscopy and found red spot in my bladder and he did not know why and did biopsy for bladder and prostate results was negative for cancer and I am not sure if he excluded carcinoma. Some believes it is nerve damage or might be stress related but the pain also sometimes causes lower back pain.
The pain lately spread to all lower abdominal and consistence and the worst time when I am sleeping at rest.
Thanks,
Ozzie

Hi @gulzar. In another thread you mentioned that you're getting octreotide injections. According to the drug information, common side-effects of octreotide include abdominal pain and increased urination. More rare side-effects include back pain and unknown frequency side-effects included blood in urine. You can read the full list here: http://mayocl.in/28zSnU8 . Since these are all things you’ve been experiencing, it may be worth talking to your doctor about your medication symptoms, interactions and options.
You've also mentioned that some of these symptoms predate your taking octreotide. Have you talked to your doctor about your concerns about carcinoma? What pain management options are you being offered?
Pelvic pain goes to 15 years octreo only 4 months.
Wow, 15 years of pelvic pain and no answers. That's a long time. Have you talked to your doctor about your suspicions of carcinoma?
I never related it to cancer but I will mention it to onc

When is your next appointment with your oncologist? Let us know what s/he says.
I had MRI with contrast and nothing found, I believe the is due to nerve damage overtime. There is a book written about this type of pain (headache in pelvis) and at standford medical clinic in LA they help you how to deal with it.
