Does anyone here have a problem with their CPAP machine?

Posted by surreal name @sofaramnotdead, Feb 17, 2024

After reading about the catastrophe at the Phillips company,
I hope that ResMed, or any CPAP machine manufacturer can
be completely trusted.

Has anyone here had their CPAP machine sent back to the manufacturer so that it can be examined and seen if it needs to be repaired? 😀

I can't advise you because I'm not your caregiver, but I can suggest you place your circumstances and current settings before the forum at apneaboard if your health care team doesn't want to titrate you again. There are several highly knowledgeable forumites there, Sleep Rider among them and probably the most helpful, who can take a look at your OSCAR results and suggest some tweaks. Most of us use EPR, even if only set to one cm H2O, for comfort. You may find that two, even three, works better, but you must trial it for at least three nights to see if the effects are durable.

Just received my #10 model RESMED c-pap and it is very noisy where the tub inserts into the machine. Noisy like you can hear the air noise in another room 50 ft away. I'm told they should have had a flange there, but they don't. The bad thing is the distributor is playing games about returning it, but I'll keep trying!

The distributors solution is to slam the tub into the machine (and I mean slam) which is hard on the machine and an hour later the same problem.

Hopefully MAYO can exert some influence on all

This is known to happen from time to time. Typically it's user fault, not reassembled completely, but it's not unheard of for there to simply be no remedy other than a new machine or a replacement reservoir/tank. Keep trying. If you paid by credit card, attempt to reverse the charge with explanation to your credit card issuer. That'll soon get the seller acting upon your needs.
