Very strange symptoms in ears and nose
First - you’ll find these symptoms hard to believe, but please - I need someone somewhere to say I’m not the only one who ever experienced this! My ears get covered in a waxy substance that hardens and can be picked off. Under this cover, in every crevice and opening are pieces of stuff like very small pebbles or a cottony substance. Right under the wax there is another “cover” made up of a wire-like substance. My nose at times has a putty-like substance that hardens and can also be picked out. After pulling any of these things out of my ears or nose, they come right back. A big disadvantage for me is that I have an OCD concerning skin picking. I find my self pulling at these symptoms sometimes without even realizing it. Please - if anyone knows anything about this, let me know. Here’s the main reason that no one believes me: I feel all these substances with my fingers as solid objects, but they can not be seen at all. I feel pretty hopeless about finding any help. I do have an appointment with a psychiatrist this month. Maybe she can help me.

1 ReactionHave you had Covid? I got eczema in my outer ears after having COVID. Please go see a Dermatologist about this. If possible, Take a picture (or have someone take a picture) of the issues when they flare up. I pray this gets better for you. Hugs & Prayers....

1 ReactionA dermatologist could even do a skin biopsy from the ear to check for abnormalities under the surface. These are tiny samples that heal quickly. With OCD, we sometimes focus on things that we fear are abnormal when they aren’t, and an exam and perhaps biopsy might be reassuring if all appears normal.

1 ReactionI had weird stuff very similar after Covid shots. They would not close or heal. I got , on Amazon, Cromolyn sodium nasal spray! I used it in the nose and ear and it cleared up. Whenever I see or feel that Elmer’s glue I use it again! I also made a paste w it and baking soda for any open sores and they also cleared. But eating highly acidic foods can bring them back so I don’t eat them . No gluten or white flour or sugar ever. Only sourdough bread or rice cakes. And none if you can. No yeast products!!! I also got the Cromolyn sodium eye drops ! I have Chalazeums in my eyes and they help so much check it out! My immunologist told me I saved my own life!

1 ReactionI am dealing with the same nightmare, my problem is when I try to wipe or clean it, I end up with a sticky mess on my face. I’ve gone to ENT, my PCP drew every lab known to man and nothing. I am the laugh of the office, I’ve gone to random urgent cares hoping I run into the right provider but no luck. Last week my dr and I got into such an argument, he said I should see a psychiatrist and then qx’d my hygiene! This issue has gotten so bad that I was my face with hibiclens, this is not a hygiene issue and it’s taking over my life 😭😭😭😭
