Baerveldt valve placement for glaucoma

Hi. I just learned about this group today. I am scheduled for glaucoma surgery with the baerveldt drainage device insertion. I have become allergic to some of the eye drops I've used for years.
Has anyone experienced having a drainage device placed?

Seek the best glaucoma surgeon possible. Yes, I
have had this surgery for both eyes. and it has helped tremendously.
