My daughter uses a shampoo with salicylic acid (Neutrogena). I use a shampoo with tea tree oil. Scalpicine (contains steroids) can help but is harsh and can't be used too much.

I tried a different shampoo because the tea tree oil makes my hair dry, but I am having an outbreak and going back!

What have you tried? I am also open to suggestions!

I have tried all of the medicated shampoos at one time or another and leave them on the scalp for 5 to 10 minutes as suggested by my dermatologist. I've also used clobetasol. None of these have anything more than modest effects. I have not tried Scalpicine, however, and certainly may check it out.
