Any women members here that have PTSD, and Acute Clinical Depression?
Are there any women members here that have PTSD, and Acute Clinical Depression? I would like to talk with women who have PTSD. I found out several years ago that I have had PTSD my entire life due to severe family abuse(physical & emotional) and incest. I was raped twice while I was in the US Navy. My PTSD is getting much worse again. I don't currently have frequent access to the internet. I'm moving this weekend so hopefully I will have more internet time after I move. I may not reply right away due to my move. I hope to meet others soon to discuss PTSD, depression and military sexual trauma(MST) Thank you, Kathy Z

I've also survived gang rape, incest, sexual molestation as a small child, living on the streets at 14, physical and severe abuse. I can proudly say I never got involved with drugs and I don't abuse the Meds I take now. I just can't beat the hell out of depression and severe PTSD.
Dear Friend, I'm not qualified to give you any advice on the horrible suffering you've endured, but I can tell you with all my heart that you are enough. So often we as women think we are lacking in something or not good enough, when the beautiful thing is that we are God's precious daughters, and are always enough. If you wish, remind yourself as often as you can that you are God's masterpiece, and all you are is enough! You have talents and gifts to offer, one of which is the fact that you have the courage to be open about what you have endured. I am adding you to my prayers. Please know where there is life, there is hope!!! There is a wonderful life just for you, even with the horrible, awful things you've endured that have stolen your joy. With much love, JMS : )
God is my most reliable source ❤️
A loving God does indeed watch over you. : )
My heart breaks for you and all your suffering. I would like to share a scripture verse that comes mind when I am faced with pain and sufferimg. Revelation 21:4
4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”
Hi Everyone. I just joined this group in hopes of finding different ways of coping and finally conquering this very intense 4 1/2 year battle with clinical major Depressive disorder, severe anxiety, PTSD and a multitude of other medical issues. I have suffered my whole life from depression but this has been my worst state I have ever been in and I am open to any suggestions. I live in Canada so some drugs may not be available where I am or may have different names. I am also just beginning peri-menopause but my only real symptom that I notice at this point are hot flashes. Thanks for listening and I am also here to help if I can. Thanks
Welcome to Connect @animallover22. I moved your message to this discussion about PTSD, anxiety, depression and more so that you can meet other members like @jms7 @AT2008 @blindeyepug @jeanner @susandockter @susandenise @wife1 and @dawn_giacabazi Glad to have you in the group. What coping technique has helped you the most?
I've found that deep breathing has helped me get through some really bad spots and I mean REALLY bad.
Saved my life, many times!! 😉
After my car accident, I went through 3 years of horrible depression & post concussion syndrome amongst uncontrolled pain. I was seen by multiple surgeons and specialists, pain clinic (12-22 injections every week for 1 year) acupuncture, acupressure, chiropractors, multiple different Physical Therapy groups, easily 30 different medications and the one thing I still use today, every day, is the biofeedback my psychologist @ mayo clinic taught me. He also taught me Reiki. I was diagnosed with PTSD about four years ago. I now work with a therapist am on medication and have started going to meditation groups. That is in addition to going to my local church. I hope you find a support group in your area that understands the pain of sexual abuse. I have volunteered at Women's Shelters and I admire the survivors. You are really tough ladies.
