Has anyone used the Marodyne device to stimulate bone growth?

You stand on it twice a day for 10 minutes. It gently vibrates and also helps with improving balance. The Marodyne is made in Germany and costs about $3,000. It has not been FDA approved but there are studies in progress.

@tschurch, my heart hurts to hear stories like yours. I tend to agree with you on this topic, I'm being completely transparent here. Unless there is evidence to back up claims such as, "the vibration treatment may also prevent breast cancer from spreading to bones," it is outrageous to promote it this way!

It's really horific!

I asked Holly Holland, the sponsor of the presentation, if I could share and she said yes. The part about Marodyne begins at 55:00 - but the whole presentation is excellent so I encourage you to check it out. Holly has a FB page called: "Holly's Pilates Village" which I also recommend.

She used it and, along with exercise, reversed her osteoporosis. She had a random video taken at the developer etc. She does not say “you need this”, but attests that it was part of her routine.
I also researched the k2/D3/magnesium. Important.
Also I added the 100g of prunes which showed bone density after a year. (Thankfully I LOVE them and eat throughout the day..saving some for bedtime!) The study was not finished on 50g daily… but did show that decline had stopped. I get big bags at Costco. The studies are easy to find.
Hope this helps. You are right, a full time job! But there is no one expert…and too many out there with expensive programs and “cures”! It’s exhausting!..thank goodness I love to read! It’s my life now!

Hi, Did she happen to say what her T scores were before she started to use Marodyne?

Thanks so much for posting this. I had seen Belinda Beck give a similar "report" on her interview with Margie Bissinger but this adds to it. What a shame that the low intensity vibration does not help build or even maintain bone.
I had already seen this for myself as I bought one and used it for a year and lost a lot of bone in that year (I lose a lot every year it seems). So I knew it didn't help me but I had hoped it might help others. That same year I did heel drops almost daily and often twice daily, so that also did not work either. Of course heel drops are free. I had wondered that perhaps I overdid it with those two approaches but Dr Beck's study indicates it just doesn't work.

BTW, I don't look on this as a scam. There was good reason to think this might work. I took the gamble and lost. My loss doesn't mean I was cheated by bad and devious people. Belinda Beck used the Marodyne device in the study because she thought it was likely to help. She doesn't seem to think she was scammed. It will be interesting though to see what Dr Rubin says in the future about this study.

If you do the research to be aware of safe and effective frequency and amplitude you will find vibration plates that are both of these, but not many. There is ONE on Amazon. VT007 Vibration Plate Exercise Machine - High Frequency, Low Amplitude | Muscles, Bones and Nerves Training | Blood and Lymph Circulation Improvement The owner has a lot of information as well as a study he is initiating. There is also a separate site with info and a similar unit for sale-- Vibrant Health. Both machines are a fraction of the cost of the Marodyne, which, while safe, is possibly not very effective for building bone at the preset vibrations. (They are doing studies, yes. ) Check these out, if only for the information. Marodyne is ridiculously expensive for what it may not even accomplish. And the Power Plates, etc on Amazon , while affordable, my cause harm.

So, after reading the most recent posts above, it seems that the VIBMOR study indeed did not support efficacy of Marodyne or other similar vibration plates......The two mentioned above are different from all the others because they have a very wide range. At the low end, similar to Marodyne. But they can also be set to high amplitude and frequencies from low to high, not just 30 hz. I have one and I am using it on a low, safe setting to rehab my hip so I can start doing the proven (free) weight -bearing ex that IS effective. As I get stronger, I will probably increase amp and freq to improve muscle strength. The way I see it, at $399 , it's totally worth the effort. It is definitely helping with any pain I had with mobility. Helping.....not totally curing, but I will take that!

I don't belive either that it was a "SCAM," yet as well intentioned as it may have been, the promotion of this needs to be addressed. The person who stated "SCAM" had breast cancer and has a story with very good reason for her disappointment! Stmts by a physician promoting this LIV " it may even prevent breast cancer from spreading to bones," in an article...are life threatening at best. I've seen some very misleading comments out there. I do believe some good may come out of using Mayodyne, just not the critical bone building we hoped for. I want to see some truth in advertising here, and until they adjust their sales pitch, they will be venturing into the unforgivable label!

Enough said by me, just buyer beware.🥰 I Hope everyone has a beautiful weekend.

I agree and especially when such vulnerable populations are targeted. As has been previously stated, we all have to be our own advocates and do what we think is best for our bodies and that includes the mind. If people have the money for alternative treatments and it puts them at ease - I say go for it. There is much to be said about having confidence and releasing stress and maybe they will have good results of one kind or another.

I am very close to purchasing the Marodyne. I am willing to try everything rather than take osteoporosis meds. I think I am a very healthy 71 year old with -4.5 lumbar spine T score. I have added protein powder and collagen to my diet, reduced cafffeine, eliminated alcohol, consulted with a personal trainer, continue to exercise regularly, added more supplements. I am watching the YouTube video with Margaret Martin and Dr. Rubin today. I want this to work and sure hope I will not be scammed.

Edit to say that I just ordered the Marodyne. Because I live in Florida, I am being charged 7% sales tax. GRRR

I have a similar situation and I’m 69 and also live in Florida (St. Pete). How is it going with the Marodyne LiV? Did you purchase a LiV device? I don’t want pharmaceuticals if I can manage without.

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten enough protein in my diet given what I’ve been learning recently about what is necessary for bone health. I am looking for more ways to add more protein during the day and wondering if you can recommend a particular protein powder.

I wish could find someone locally who could be a coach like some of the people I’ve been following on Youtube. I was impressed by Margaret Martin’s recent support of Marodyne. Thank you for any updates and advice you are able to offer. Hang in there! I hope things are going well.
