Exercise during chemo

More and more research shows that exercise is vital in cancer treatment....make it a regular routine...I have a background in exercise physiology and cancer and would be happy to help anyone

Hi Lisa,
I looked into the livestrong program at my local YMCA and am set to start on 2/19. I'm excited. Thank you for the information. I had never heard of the program. The intake personnel at the Y also stated that a lot more of the YMCA's will be rolling out this program this spring so it will be more accessible to a lot of people. Thanks again for the info.

Excellent post. Some studies have shown better uptake of chemo treatment if exercising regularly during treatment. Also patients tend to cope better during treatment “Moving Through Cancer “
Also, improved chances of remaining healthy and better longevity prospects “ Outlive “ by Peter Attia. He recommends a combination of aerobic, strength and balance exercises. Also, good sleeping habits are key to maintaining your health.
