From information I’m reading, though gonorrhea isn’t usually transmitted through casual contact such as kissing, sharing food, etc., it may be possible to get gonorrhea through oral sex or kissing if the person has oral gonorrhea. The good news is bacteria doesn’t last long outside the body. But anyone contracting this STD needs antibiotics to treat the infection. It will not go away on its own.

Babies can be born with this STD if their mother has gonorrhea at the time. This can be a serious health risk for the child. I can’t find any information on babies contracting this after birth but it would be dangerous for a child to have this disease left untreated.

Because babies are vulnerable and their immune systems are still immature, my gut response is have your baby checked for a possible infection. Not all symptoms are obvious so it would be better to be safe than sorry.
