@kittiecat

hi windy. where do you read about this info ? i looked at Amgen and found their happy info, but didnt find hard biologic info. maybe i was looking in the wrong place. i am curious about any objective sites, too, that arent selling anything. i just finished a whole course of Evenity and it was so hard on me, especially with even worse migraines and major fatigue. i think Reclast is next, and i will ask for four or five divided doses and slowest infusion. not sure if i will get what i hope for. you are so so very helpful. i send my huge appreciations to you.

@kittiecat go to pharmakinetics (this is the drug insert for Evenity)

Anyone get cold sores on Evenity? I started Evenity a week and a half ago without any issues. This morning I'm getting a cold sore. I haven't had one for several years.

A week after my last injection (only one, not two) I am feeling pretty good, very mild side effects and the drug has peaked in my system. Just want to post something encouraging to anyone reading this forum!

Yesterday I woke at 4 am, and was fine. Went back to sleep 6-8. When I woke then, my entire body had burning pain, stiffness and weakness. I find it strange that I was fine two hours before (except for slight burning in chest).

Did anyone else have a sudden onset like this? I had my shot on 2/1 so this was on day 10. Peak action is on average day 7 and half life is 12.8 days.

Those of you who describe burning, or pain, or stiffness a few days in, was onset sudden?

Mine seems to increase throughout the day. It's been 6 days since my last injection and out of those days only 1 without burning sensation between my shoulder blades. I was going to stop after 7 but went one more at my doctor's urging but this is no kind of life. It's hard to do much of anything. Every activity (besides sleeping) seems to irritate my back. I'm thinking of getting ahold of my doctor and calling it quits on Evenity. Hoping that 8 months has had some positive effect. Sorry you're in such pain. I can empathize.

@nnnnwyatt I was curious about sudden onset 7-12 days after the injections. I am considering other causes.

I would feel fine stopping after 6 or even 3 Evenity's, when the most bone growing happens. It's great you did 8 and hope you feel better.

I didn't realize you had just started with Evenity. Good luck with your experience. This is day 7 (or 8 if I count the day of the injection) and the burning has eased for the time being. Fingers crossed it continues.

@nwyatt glad you are feeling better! The Evenity has passed its peak for you, according to the drug info!
Burning for me was minor until day 10 and 11. Today is day 12 and it is easing, though still in my chest. Maybe I have a later peak! I don't mind the symptoms I have today but the last two days have been intense. Despite pain, stiffness and burning I took a long walk both days. My experience with cancer meds has taught me that walking and moving in general (tai chi, swimming) helps with side effects. I am still planning on 3#, whether one or two shots.
