Definitely get to a hematologist and a bone marrow biopsy will give you a lot of answers. At least give you some ideas of what your body is doing.

I would suggest letting the hematologist decide if the right testing for you includes a bone marrow biopsy. My hematologist/oncologist got the needed information about the cause of my elevated WBC via other blood tests. It is not that I am afraid of having a biopsy (had one 60 years ago) but that invasive procedure is not necessary now. I believe in getting tests as appropriate.
