Yale Bronchiectasis & NTM webinar recording available!!
YALE RECORDING NOW AVAILABLE!!
When the non-profit Bronchiectasis/NTM Info & Research teams up with Yale School of Medicine, exciting things happen!
Years ago, I traveled by train from New York City to New Haven to attend this talk in person. Now, we can all enjoy it from the comfort of our homes! In addition to Dr. Ashley Losier and an infectious disease specialist, Dr. James Shepherd, Marjorie Cullinan, RRT, discusses the ever-intriguing topic of AIRWAY CLEARANCE!
Have a listen:

Thanks @becleartoday to posting this.
So nice to hear from an enthusiastic RT who took the time to demonstrate various breathing and clearance exercises. I'd like to hear more about exercise and how it helps those with bronchiectasis clear their airways.
The physicians' presentations were excellent also. Learning in concert from a pulmonologist and ID doctor helped fill in gaps.
One of the things missing in the bronchiectasis world is standard of care guidelines. Perhaps they sort of exist in the NTM world. This forum is filled with people receiving poor advice from doctors when first diagnosed. I, for one, spent a lot of time ineffectively treating my bronchiectasis. Of course, I know so much more today but it likely would have saved suffering and several courses of antibiotics if there was some established standard of care. Since bronchiectasis/NTM is on the rise perhaps we'll see some progress in this area.
My pleasure Scoop! According to Dr. Addrizzo Harris, President of CHEST and a BE and NTM specialist, they will be working on bronchiectasis guidelines this year. Fingers crossed Linda
Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure!
