Hello Rosemary,
Thank you for replying so quickly. I met with the surgeon a year ago and then recently had a letter to say I was booked for a cataract op followed up 4 weeks later for the transplant but not had any discussions.
I will check your link out in the morning as it is 2.57am in uk.
I'm not sure of the procedure only that he change it to doing both ops at the same time. I feel a bit worried about it all.

Actually, it’s been 25 years. Was a full corneal transplant. I had to wait six months in between each eye. I’ve never had a problem and every eye specialist I’ve seen is impressed with the surgeon that did this job..
My last visit to the eye doctor, not the one that did this. He’s no longer alive. . He was surprised that my corneas are still fine but wanted me to start doing prednisone drops. I have them, but I haven’t used them.
Because I have myopic degenerative disease now in one eye where I have to get a shot in my eye every month, I don’t want to add any more . medications.
@sue26
I couldn't get to to open either.
I don't know why, but try this one, it opens for me. Let me know if ti opens for you before I seek further assistance.

That one opened thank you

Had corneal transplant done twenty years ago with cataract removal at the same time. Nothing to worry about it.
Wow…and it’s lasted 20 years — that’s great
Was it a full corneal transplant or partial - DSAEK?
Thanks
