I had a wrist replacement about 10 -11 years ago. I am now looking at having it removed.
It was a tough surgery going in and a long recovery but once healed, my wrist was great. I am forever grateful to my hand dr who bought me time to play my guitar and do photography - among other things.
I will say - on the other end of this - my joints have deteriorated so much they are baffled on how it’s all coming out and how easy it won’t be to fuse which is now my only option. Still - I would never trade the past 10 years with the replacement for anything. Nothing wagered - nothing gained.
