Chin and lower lip numbness with Covid
After 10 days of flu or possibly Covid symptoms, I have started getting brief bouts of numbness in my lower lip and chin. It has happened the past 3 days and yesterday twice within 5 hours. The timing of the onset of these symptoms suggests a possible viral component, associated with the illness. Reading about something called Numb Chin Syndrome (NCS) leads to all sorts of concerning causes. Has anyone else has experienced this symptom associated with Covid or flu?

I did. I didn't know it is a symptom and related to covid. I have experienced tingling on one side/the left side of my lower lib and surrounding area/ cheek + sometimes twitching of the lip. It is much better a year later, though I sometimes mildly still feel the tingling or random twitching.
I haven't been tested positive for covid but I suspect my wide variety of symptoms might be because of covid or the vaccination.
I experienced this while I had COVID in September. It has since gone away.
In a word, yes. For me it isn't numbness, per se, but a lower lip and chin crawling feeling, with sometimes a small twitch under my left eye. It comes and goes, usually precedes a temporary dip in symptoms.
I have left upper and lower lip numbness and tingling. Didn't know it might be covid related. Going to get tested now. Have other symptoms as runny nose, sneezing, coughing, low grade temp.
There are some other diseases with similar symptoms, such as chronic infections such as long covid, chronic lyme disease etc. Better to consult a doctor. Beware if it begin recently, think of anything that you might have done, travel, insect bite, etc. Rest greatly and eat healthy food to allow body heal... Best wishes...
