Is anyone dealing with extreme dread?

I’ve been dealing with extreme dread for over a year that gets worse every day and I’m to the point that I’m shell of a person and ready to give up! Any suggestions on doctors who deal with this?
I have been to several different drs and have tried almost every anxiety and depression medication on the market I have brain scar tissue from a tumor removed in 1974 I have heart problems, vision problems and the worst part is I don’t look sick so people don’t take me seriously

Sharing,
you can't listen to people who tell you how you should feel. If you are content in reclusiveness, rest easy.
The dreads are something you 'd like to get rid of. I'd find a doctor on the internet who believes in STB by googling stellate ganglion block with your city name. Call the office and find out what condition would be prohibitive.
As for the doctors, I'm real careful, especially if they are likely to wield a knife. Mostly, though, my standard saying is that if you go to three doctors two of them will label you non-compliant. They all have different opinions. I mostly listen ask for the rationale and never have just one physician.
This injection might help with the indeciseviness and the lack of joy. But it may not. Or it may make a dent.
Grief can be a lifelong venture. SLE has a bad profile for depression. Both things I'm sure your already know.
Look at yourself carefully and understand that you are valuable. Sometime other people's need and wants are dominant for so long that we forget to want for our own selfish selfs. Instead we become afraid of offending or inconveniencing. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6798631/#:~:text=Medical%20management%20along%20with%20stellate,and%20recurrent%20laryngeal%20nerve%20palsy. According to this 2019 article you wouldn't want a bilateral block. Mine wasn't bilateral.
You could just tell your physician that you'd like to try the block. I claimed I was having hot flashes, but that wasn't it.
I'm pretty sure you could get the block without your physician ever knowing.

Wishing you the best luck

I can relate! People are always giving me advice but they forget they’re 20 years younger than me! I’m 68 , I know they mean well so I have to remember they just don’t understand😊
So what is SLE?

What is dread? Or extreme dread? Is it depression? I had an uncle who at 94+ slept most of the day. I would visit him occasionally. I was in my late 60's just before Covid. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor and elected to do nothing. He told me he'd been ready to die for several years. He liked to drink and that's how he coped with what remained of his time. I took that there's ways of coping with unpleasant things from him. I don't think I could stand being by myself.
My daughter sits with people who have dimensia. I think of them when I feel bad. In other words, my life could be worse.

The dreads are awful. For those who are able to get out of the house, I highly recommend trying to do some volunteer work to help others in your community in some small way. I know it sounds simplistic, but it has worked for me to feel better and it makes a positive impact on others. I realize that some are not healthy enough for this, but if possible I suggest giving it a try.

I would add that even if you can't get out of the house (my own mobility is very limited), it's still possible to help or at least encourage others.

That's what I try to do here on Connect.

Yes Scott! Thank you for the encouragement and helpful advice, I’m definitely closer to God since all this craziness started! I have been praying any encouraging others daily!
