Please welcome new Mayo Clinic Young Volunteer Stephen Johnson! Heading into his junior year at John Marshall High School, Stephen will be visiting patients at Methodist on his hospitality cart shifts with his partner, Biva.

Q: Are you originally from the Rochester area? If not, where else have you lived?
A: I've lived in Utah and California. My family moved to Rochester for Mayo Clinic.

Q: When you aren't volunteering, what else do you like to do?
A: Play sports, including basketball, cross country, and track

Q: What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
A: A water purifier, a blanket, and a cotton candy machine

Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
A: Achieving the highest rank in Boy Scouts

Q: What is your favorite thing about Mayo Clinic?
A: The free Oreos in the volunteer office
