Aug 24, 2022 | Sarah Palmer | @sarahpalmer

Please welcome JQ Tian to the MCVP team! JQ is a PhD student here at Mayo. He will be assisting patients and visitors at the Eisenberg Subway Welcome Desk at the Methodist campus.

Q: Are you originally from the Rochester area? If not, where else have you lived?
A: Nope; I have lived in Gainesville, Orlando, and Chicago. But I'm originally from China.

Q: When you aren't volunteering, what else do you like to do?
A: LOL, sleep. After all the time working for school and research, sleeping well is a treat to me.

Q: What three items would you take with you to a deserted island?
A: Water filter, hunting gear, and guitar

Q: What is your proudest accomplishment?
A: Keeping myself alive. LOL

Q: What is your favorite thing about Mayo Clinic?
A: "The needs of the patient come first."

Welcome aboard, JQ!
