Saturday, November 5th, the Mayo Clinic Arizona HABIT team, joined by other employees of Mayo Clinic Arizona, family members, and friends, will walk in the annual Walk to End Alzheimer's Disease for the Alzheimer's Association. We've set a goal to raise $3000 for the Alzheimer's Association in support of their vision, "A World Without Alzheimer's Disease". Funds raised contribute to care and support services for those living with Alzheimer's disease and other cognitive impairments, which includes Mild Cognitive Impairment; research on prevention, treatment, and ultimately a cure for Alzheimer's disease and other dementias; and advocacy of Alzheimer's disease research initiatives at the State and Federal level.
The Arizona team including @AndreaCuc, @Jeannee, @Paulinehlucas, and @mariacaselli would like to invite anyone who is here in the Phoenix area to join our team! Come walk with us (or provide moral support if that isn't physically possible!). And if you are not local, we'd love to see a donation in support of our team to help us reach our fundraising goal! Donations of any amount are welcome. [In the interest of full disclosure, I wish to be transparent that I am a member of the Community Board for the Desert Southwest Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association]
