The program would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our families that make this research possible by giving you an inside look at how your contributions to our research are truly making a difference and will ultimately change the lives of those affected with HLHS in the future! Please come and join us for a day of fun! All are welcome to attend – HLHS families, friends, and anyone who is interested in learning about congenital heart disease treatment and research at Mayo Clinic. The Todd and Karen Wanek Family Program for Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) is a collaborative network of specialists bonded by the vision of delaying or preventing heart failure for individuals affected by congenital heart defects including HLHS. The specialized team is addressing the various aspects of these defects by using research and clinical strategies ranging from basic science to diagnostic imaging to regenerative therapies.
