MapHabit is an organization that uses scientifically proven step-by-step guides to empower individuals with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias (ADRD), TBI's, and intellectual and developmental disabilities to master their daily routines. They have received a NIH/NIA grant to determine the efficacy of a caregiver training program in enhancing caregiver and patient outcomes. The Care Partner Training Program is a six-month-long research study open to dementia caregivers. The program includes individual support sessions to equip care partners with targeted strategies to address specific challenges and resources to enhance the caregiving experience.
Program Components:
- 5 support sessions with a dementia support coach
- Personalized education based on your caregiving needs
- Focus on improving your quality of life
During this study you will:
- Enroll and complete your baseline assessment
- Meet with your coach monthly to discuss your goals
- Complete surveys at the middle and end of the study
- Engage with program materials for the duration of the six-month study
You can participate if you:
- Are 18 years or older
- Care for a family member or friend living with dementia, memory loss, or cognitive impairment
- Can read and write in English
- Can provide proof of identification
Upon completion of the study, all participants will receive:
- $200
- A one-year MapHabit subscription
- A free iPad
