Greetings Dr. Blackmon, I lost my esophagus in 2000 due to a perforation while repairing a complication from the Nissen Fundiplication. I was repaired 5 months later with esophageal reconstruction with my stomach in my left chest. I have had the repair for 23 years and am starting to have problems with too many reoccuring strictures...Is it too late for me to ever have my "repair" fixed to help my swallowing? I was told my body is a broken down old house that once one problem is fixed, all problems will need fixed and that the house could fall down...Is that true?
