Caregivers are integral to our patient's care team at the Mayo Clinic. We believe it is vital to include, support and educate caregivers in healthcare. The Mayo Clinic Caregiver Support Program utilizes specifically selected and trained volunteers to provide peer support to the loved ones of our patients currently hospitalized at Mayo Clinic Arizona. Our volunteers meet with caregivers to provide emotional support, a non-judgemental ear, an opportunity to vent fear or frustrations, help to navigate within the healthcare team, and will offer resources when needed.
